“My recent work is an extension of my continuing studies of natural forms.
From cultivated bunches of flowers to wild tangled hedgerows, wind blown, tousled and untamed.
I love the colours and textures that come from these unrefined fragments of land .
But it’s also the light peeping through the tangled flowers, grasses and seedpods, creating random patterns that I find fascinating.
Evoking memories of my childhood in the country, on warm days playing in the woods and lying amongst the wild flowers and grasses of the meadows.
I see it now in unspoiled hedges and roundabouts and have been known to be seen crawling around in them with my camera whilst the traffic speeds past.”
